A Pin Doll for All Seasons:Ms.Americana!

Just think of all the pin dolls or ornaments you can make from pre-made bodies!

Ms. Americana is a kit available from Bear Country Quilts and Gifts...my new venue where I teach monthly classes, do a Make-It Take-It Open Class once a month, and sell my dolls and other fabric creations! It is located in the heart of Big Bear Lake and is a wonderful, cozy place to connect with other creative souls! And oh. the beautiful fabrics to choose from whether a dollmaker, quilter, or sewer!

Join me this Saturday, April 19th, to learn how to make faces from a wide variety of mixed media for your favorite creative projects! Kits are available to practice using the Face Book or make a wonderful Face Pin for wearing or giving to your best friend!

Join me at the Jewel City Doll Club's Annual Doll Show and Sale on Saturday, March 29th, from 10-3 at the Glendale Civic Auditorium! Lots of antiques, collectibles, and other toy related items. I will have many of my dolls and artistic creations there!

Here's my next demo at Yarn Designers Boutique in Big Bear City on Wednesday, February 19th! Simple to make! Contact me if you are coming; otherwise, send me a message if you would like a kit which has almost everything you need to make it!

Here's an old time favorite...Be Mine Raggedy Angel...made from a vintage quilt. Kits or finished dolls in a variety of sizes are available so contact me if you are interested!

Here's one of my favorites...Ms. Victoria...a winter skater! All my dolls are one-of-a-kind! This is made from flannels and a handmade pair of skates.

Yesterday was my first show of the year in Anaheim! Robear's is an electic mix of antique, vintage and collectibles of almost anything from dolls to bears to jewelry! It is so much fun but I have to keep my pocket book in check as there are so many goodies that I love!

The best piece, one that I could not resist, was a vintage brooch...handmade of golds and silver with rhinestones! This vendor has the most fun costume jewelry to choose from. And of course, I had to add the artist rendition of Belindy to my Raggedy Ann collection! You can see both of my FINDS in the picture!

Janet will demonstrate and help you make this lovely beaded fiber doll pin. No registration is required…just stop in! If you want to relax and play for a couple of hours, just bring your basic sewing supplies…thread, scissors, etc. and kick back with other creative souls! Do not worry if you forget something, Janet always has everything! Or just pick up a kit to make it at home.

Kits (colors and sayings vary) will be available for purchase for $10.00. Kits include all specialty items along with instructions needed to complete the project. Don't live near here and want to reserve a kit(s) or have questions? Just message me!

Another beautiful day in Sunny California...Snow Summit at its finest! The recent three inch snowfall freshened things up and it is a sunny, cold day!

I love this...and believe it is true! After SARK's video party, I was lucky to have a half-hour consultation with Edward Vilga! What great fun to talk to him about my dream of creating dolls with messages for women to encourage them to live their dreams! He was sooo- supportive and I am going to work with him on getting it planned with dates and follow up calls. I am sooo- motivated to do this and will need to dedicate time to make this happen!
